REGAN VEST is an : REGAN VEST is an atom-proof bunker located 60 meters underground in Rold Forest. It was to be a civilian place of work and residence for the Danish government, royal house, etc. in a military emergency. From here, the civilian crisis management of Denmark would take place. Areas for the site where the bunker was to be located were purchased in 1961 and the finished bunker was put into service in 1969. In 2012, it was released by the emergency.

Sanatorium Beelitz Heilstatten - : Sanatorium Beelitz Heilstatten - Originally built as sanatorium and park to treat Berliners suffering with tuberculosis at the end of the 19th century, this complex of buildings was an almost self-contained village. Its medical history alone makes it interesting, as it also served as military hospital during WWI and WWII, during WWI Hitler got injured and were hospitalized here.

REGAN VEST is a : REGAN VEST is a nuclear-protected bunker located 60 meters underground in Rold Skov. It was to be a civilian place of work and residence for the Danish government, royal house, etc. in a military emergency. From here, the civilian crisis management of Denmark would take place. Areas for the plot where the bunker was to be located were purchased in 1961, and the finished bunker was taken into use in 1969. In 2012, it was removed from the emergency services.

Abandoned military complex were : Abandoned military complex were during WWII partly used for testing of both captured Allied tanks and for testing new German tanks, partly for nuclear research. unfortunately the area were patrolled when we visited and we could not get to explore further than a few buildings.

Devils bridge : Devils bridge, or Die Rakotzbruck, as its known locally, is located in Azalea and Rhodondendron Park Kromlau and was built over 150 years ago - in 1860. The bridge was designed using a unique construction accuracy that causes the bridge and its reflection to merge into a perfect circle when reflected in the waters beneath it, no matter what angle you look at it from. At the time we visited, the lake has been dried out as the bridge is undergoing renovation.

The bunker were build : The bunker were build by the Germans during WWII, in 1955 the Danish Civil Defence (DCD) moved in. As the city grew, and the demands to the Civil Defence increased, a decition were made to expand the existing bunker and in 1971 the bunker got enlarged with extra 7 rooms. The bunker were taken out of service in 1993, from then up until 1999, it was used by the DCD for training of their smoke divers. Today its privately owned and theres no legal access to the bunker.

Abandoned mine shaft we : Abandoned mine shaft we stumbled upon on a hike in Norway, unfortunately we couldnt get in very far, only approx 20m. The river were used to get lumber down to the sea, however as a nearby hydropower Plant were build on this location, they needed to be creative as to how to get the lumber past. The old mine were taken back in use for this purpose.

After US entry into World War II and the formation of the Tank Destroyer Force, a suitable vehicle was needed to equip the new battalions. By November 1941, the Army requested a vehicle with a gun in a fully rotating turret after other interim models were criticized for being too poorly designed.
